Brighton District v MUGCC Practice Match

Brighton District hosted us for a practice game, on what was a great sunny day. The Brighton girls batted very well, on a small ground, but our bowlers worked hard. With both Gretel and Jo bowling good spells of spin. In the field, both Cannon sisters fielded very well all day, and along with Talia cut down a lot of runs.
The batting started with a band, with Shell opening the shoulders early, and putting the wayward Brighton attack to all part of Dendy Park. The fireworks unfortunately ended when she retired on 33. After a few run out Rayleen and Lush settled the ship, and ensured we batted out the overs.
A good warm-up for the season, and game played in great spirit, and with a big thanks to Brighton.
