Semifinals (March 16-17)

A Grade: COLES MYER v EMMANUEL Ground: Canterbury/Cordner
MONASH GRYPHONS v POWERHOUSE Ground: Canterbury/Cordner

Lower side (named first) is the home side -- to supply stumps and flags, ring in scores.

Hours of play: 11.00-1.00, 1.30-3.30, 3.50-6.00 (Lunch 1.00-1.30, Tea 3.30-3.50)

At least 100 overs to be bowled each day, with at least 15 overs after 5.00pm. Deduct one over for each four minutes or part thereof lost due to weather, light, or change of innings.


No compulsory closures - lower-placed side must win to proceed.

New ball may be taken after 80 overs.

Financial status: Under rule 55, clubs must be financial to play. All money owing MUST arrive with Simon Phillips, 4/42 Talbot Ave, Balwyn, by Thursday's mail, or be delivered to him personally by Thursday 11.00am. Penalty - forfeit of finals place.

Fitness of pitches: - Players must turn up; play will NOT be called off via the 1900 line. The Association may order use of covers prior to the game. Covers must be laid on Saturday night unless BOTH captains agree to forgo them. Covers are to be removed an hour before play by the home side on each day unless rain is falling. Covers at Fawkner Park must be returned to the Southern rooms by the home side after Sunday's play.

Queries regarding finals eligibility -- phone the Registration Secretary (Alec Kahn) on 9380-6579 during office hours up to Friday 4.00 pm. Match reports must be submitted as usual after all finals.

Umpires' fees: $80 per team per day.


Grand finals (March 23,24,29 - Reserve Day March 30)

A Grade: At Canterbury
A Res: On Fawkner Park No.1
B Grade: On Cordner Oval
C Grade: On Fawkner Park No.5

Hours of play: As for Semi-finals.

Reserve Day: If more than 180 minutes are lost to weather or bad light over the FIRST TWO days, play may continue on March 30 for the total time lost in the game, or 370 minutes, whichever is sooner.

Play on the reserve day commences 11.00am. Over requirements shall be calculated by the Executive pro rata to the requirements for other days.

No compulsory closures. If an outright result is not achieved, result on first innings decides the premier. If no first innings result is achieved, higher-placed side is the premier. A tie means a shared premiership.
