A Season in Stats 2012/13

The club celebrated it's 8th premiership in only it's 23rd year, with 5th XI (Mannix Old Collegians) defeating the Salesian Old Boys, for our first Southern District & Churches Cricket League Flag.
The season saw only the second draw in the Club Championship, with Morgan Cole and Angad Lamba sharing the honours on 484 points a piece, the last draw was between Gordon Lamb and David Harrison.
Oliver Fitzpatrick was the leading run scorer making 472 runs, in second place was Will De Silva with 456 runs at the amazing average of 88. In 3rd place was 1st XI Opener Pete Murray who made 354 runs.
Morgan Cole also become the 15th male player to make it to 100 games, in a season that also saw wicket keeper Priyath Amaratunga pass 100 games. Nathan Pearce finished the season on 99 games, and will bring up his first 3 figures in round 1 next season.
Morgan Cole with 34 wickets this season, has moved into 4th place on the overall wicket takers. Morgan Cole bowled the most maidens with 41 madien overs. Also leading the wicket takers this season was 16 year old Rookie on the Year: Nathan West, who also took 34 wickets.
Most recorded boundaries for the season was 4th XI batsman Jerry Reynald with 29 x 4s and 2 x 6s. Most 6s for the season was shared between Sid Shangari, Matt Sweeney, Rahul Jhaveri, Dan Sproul and Kumudu Ananda, all clearing the ropes 4 times.
Ryan Tanner took an amazing 8 field catches for the season, leaving him 3rd overall to keepers James Reddish (13) and Mitch Dabb (12) in total catches.
The most career matches belongs to life member: Stephen Pearson (196), next is club founder Craig Robinson (191), third is 5 times women’s club champion: Alison Chapman (167), and forth is fellow founding member: Don Baulch (163).
David Harrison moved to 291 career wickets, just 9 short of the magically 300 which only one player has managed to achieve.
