On the 17th Feb 2014 the Monash Uni Gryphons traveled to Airport West, to play Airport West St Christophers' in a Friendly Twenty20 Match for the club's Sponsor's Day.
Skipper Gordon Jones, won the toss and batted, against the shiny new PINK match balls.
After a shaky start of 4/33, former keeper/batsmen Kenney Attard (24) along with John Moses (27*) put on a respectable total.
Having Airport West at 3/5, the Gryphons were in with a shot, but Dinesh Cooray (38) rebuilt the innings and the Eagles were able to chase down the total for the loss of 6 wickets, and with 2 overs in hand.
A very entertaining match, played in great spirit.
