Grill'd Local Matters
By Stephen Pearson
The Monash University Cricket Club was proudly supported by Grill'd Malvern as part of the Local Matters Campaign. Belinda Pearson collected the cheque today, and stayed and enjoyed a fantastic burger.
Grill'd are at 217 Glenferrie Road, Malvern.
The mission at Grill’d is simple. They make amazing burgers from the freshest, highest quality ingredients – the old-fashioned way.
Their cows and lambs are 100% grass-fed, hormone-free and at liberty to casually roam the pastures. Their chickens are free of cages (and added hormones). And even their eggs are 100% free-range. So the produce you get is the best in the country – tender, garden-fresh and oh so tasty.
They believe in supporting those who support them, which is why much of what you eat at Grill’d is sourced from local, family-run businesses.
At Grill’d the fresh produce arrives whole. That is, in its natural form. They then spend copious amounts of time slicing and dicing, before they even open the doors. And if you’re after proof, just look for their staff members adoring avocados or crying over onions.
For too long, burgers have been seen as a hangover food – a bit of grease to absorb the dregs of last night. Pardon the pun, but they’re flipping that view 180 degrees. All their burgers have a nutritional value that’d make your mother proud. Take a look through the site and you’ll see what we mean.
They take a holistic approach to nutrition – ensuring our burgers are made with a healthy food philosophy in mind. They go for real foods with real flavour, but with no expense to your health (just ask thier nutritionist). Because they believe feeling good starts from the inside out.
