Coach Stands Down

By Stephen Pearson

Today, the 26th of August 2002, Monash Gryphons Cricket Club Men's Senior Coach, Mike Drew, stood down. Mike has returned to New Zealand, citing family matters as the primary reason to return home. This means that the position for Men's Senior Coach is currently vacant.

Mike Drew was the coach of the Monash Gryphons Cricket Club for the one season, and was brought to the club by former Gryphons' Captain, and son Jarrod Drew. Season 2001/02 brought the following stats for Mike:

Men's 1st XI: 6 wins, 3 draws, and 6 loses, and into the Semi Final.
Men's 2nd XI: 7 wins, 2 draws, and 5 loses, and 5th place.
Men's 3rd XI: 2 wins, 8 loses

The club thanks Mike for the time and effort he put in and wishes him and his family all the best.
